Neil Patrick Harris was born on June 15, 1973 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. At the age of fifteen, he starred in the 1988 film ‘Clara’s Heart’ opposite Whoopi Goldberg. When he was 16, Harris got the lead role in a television series called “Doogie Howser, M.D.” in 1989, which was about a teen-prodigy doctor. This television series launched Harris’s career and offered him the status of a teen-heartthrob. In 2010, he was named as Time magazine’s 100 most influential people and in September 2011, he was awarded a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. He also won several eminent awards for ‘Doogie Howser, M.D.’, ‘How I Met Your Mother’ and ‘Glee’. Off-screen, Harris went to La Cueva High School in Albuquerque, there he acted in many musicals and school plays. In November 2006, he confirmed that he was a gay. Later, he declared his relationship with screen and stage actor David Burtka. In the month of August, 2010, Harris publicized that he and Burtka were expecting twins through a surrogate mother and the fraternal twins Harper Grace and Gideon Scott were born in 2010. Neil Patrick Harris endorses and has appeared in Old Spice’s TV commercials.
