Cheryl Sarkisian was born on May 20, 1946 in El Centro, California. She is widely known as Cher and called the Goddess of Pop. Cher is famous for her distinct contralto singing voice and for working in various fields of entertainment. Cher’s career in the entertainment industry spanned over forty years, initially as a singer, then as a Television comedian and a talented actress. In the 1960s, Cher rose to fame as one of the singing duo with husband Sonny Bono. They also have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Cher began her career as an actress in the 1980s. She won a Grammy Award, an Academy Award, three Golden Globe Awards, an Emmy Award, and an Award at the Cannes Film Festival for Best Actress. Off-screen, Sonny and Cher married in 1964, after Cher gave birth to their child Chaz Bono. However, they divorced in 1975 and a few days later, Cher married musician Gregg Allman. They have a son named Elijah Blue. Cher endorses and wears the perfume ‘Cher Uninhibited’.
