Gisele Bundchen is a Brazilian model of German descent. She found success in her homeland’s modeling industry in the early 90s, and got her first US break at NYC Fashion Week in 1996. From there she went on to find success in England, appearing on the cover of the British edition of Vogue magazine. In 1998, she posed for many top fashion and clothing brands including Dolce & Gabbana, Versace and Ralph Lauren. Her biggest break however, came in 2000 when Victoria’s Secret offered her a $25m contract. That year, Bundchen was also named a Victoria’s Secret ‘Angel’, and carried that title till 2007. She showed off her acting skills in 2006’s ‘The Devil Wears Prada’, after making her film debut in ‘Taxi’ two years earlier. Bundchen, the world’s highest-earning supermodel, tied the knot with Tom Brady of the New England Patriots in 2009. She is perhaps the most involved model with regard to philanthropic work, supporting numerous foundations and donating a part of her earnings to several causes around the world. For five years (1998-2003), she appeared in all of D&G’s fashion campaigns, and made a comeback with the brand from 2006-2009 when she endorsed their fragrance ‘The One’ by Dolce & Gabbane. Gisele Bundchen is also known for wearing the perfume ‘Basic Instinct’ by Victoria’s Secret.
