Oprah Winfrey is a renowned American talk show host, media proprietor, producer, actress and philanthropist. She was born on January 29, 1954 in Kosciusko, Mississippi. Winfrey is considered to be one of the most influential women in the world. After a troubled childhood, Winfrey moved to Baltimore in 1976, where she hosted a chat show called, “People Are Talking”, and she was hired by a Chicago television station to host a morning show. She rose to fame due to her extremely admired show – The Oprah Winfrey Show. The show was a grand success and went on for two and a half decades. Apart from hosting shows, she also starred in many films and has co-authored five books. Oprah Winfrey generated a close connection with people all over the world, through her television shows. Additionally, as a host and supervising producer of the award-winning show, “The Oprah Winfrey Show”, she enlightened, uplifted and entertained countless viewers. Her success as a philanthropist and global media leader has earned her immense admiration and respect. By nature, Oprah is very energetic and colorful and she has been known to wear the perfume Bijan.
