Selena Marie Gomez, an American actress and singer, was born in Grand Prairie, on July 22, 1992. Selena began her acting career by playing the role of “Gianna” in “Barney & Friends,” in 2002. She played a short role in the 2003 film, “Spy-Kids 3-D: Game Over”. Thereafter, she began appearing in many commercials. However, her amazing acting talent landed her roles in a few popular Disney series. Gomez earned immense popularity in 2007 when she played the role of a young wizard in Disney’s comedy series-Wizards of “Waverly Place”. She also earned recognition for her role as Mary in “Another Cinderella Story” (2008). Her acting career saw her win numerous nominations and awards. She is the lead singer of her band Selena Gomez & The Scene. Her first album titled “Kiss & Tell” was a huge commercial success, and it featured in the Top-10 of the Billboard 200. She later released more albums and appeared in numerous movies and reality series. Selena has a few films due for release in 2013, which includes Behaving badly and Getaway. Off-screen, at 17 years of age (2009), Gomez was named UNICEF’s youngest ambassador. She earned a high school diploma in May 2010 through homeschooling. And, since December 2010, she has been involved in an on-off relationship with Justin Bieber. In fact, their relationship gained wide publicity all over the world. Selena is known for wearing the Daisy Eau So Fresh perfume by Mark Jacobs.
