Dolly Parton was born on January 19, 1946 in Sevierville, Tennessee. As a child, Parton began singing on local radio as well as television in East Tennessee. Parton was initially successful as a songwriter later; she started her singing career after being signed by Monument Records in 1965. She composed more than 3,000 songs through her career. She also won several Country Music awards, eight Grammy Awards, which includes a Lifetime Achievement Grammy in 2011. Parton has received 45 Grammy Award nominations. Elvis Presley was born on August 16, 1977 in Memphis, Tennessee. He started singing locally as “The Hillbilly Cat”, after graduating from Humes High School. Later, he was signed by a local recording company and then in 1955, RCA signed him. As a singer he was popularly known as The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
