Elvis Presley

Elvis Presley was born on August 16, 1977 in Memphis, Tennessee. He started singing locally as “The Hillbilly Cat”, after graduating from Humes High School. Later, he was signed by a local recording company and then in 1955, RCA signed him. As a singer he was popularly known as The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll. He won three Grammy Awards for his Gospel music and received 14 Grammy nominations. At the age of 36, he was awarded the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Presley starred in 33 movies and made the first ever musical video called Jailhouse Rock in 1957. Elvis appeared on-stage in more than 500 live appearances and most of them were sold out shows. In his personal life, Presley married Priscilla Beaulieu on May 1, 1967 but they separated in 1972. Lisa Marie, Presley’s only child, was born in 1968. Presley died on August 16, 1977 in Graceland. He is among the most celebrated musicians of the 20th century. His charm, talent, good humor, sensuality and good looks endeared him to millions of fans worldwide. Presley used cologne that was made for him by Bourjois Paris. He was also known for wearing Brut and Old Spice.
