Howard Stern

Howard Stern was born on January 12, 1954 in Jackson Heights, New York City. He is a radio personality, author, actor, television host and photographer. He had his first radio experience at Boston University, where he produced an on-air show known as the King Schmaltz Bagel Hour. However, the show was called-off after its first broadcast. He gained broad recognition in the 1990s for his controversial and sometimes outspoken style. Since 1987, he hosted several late night television shows, home video releases and pay-per-view events. His books, Private Parts and Miss America, published in 1993 and 1995 respectively, were listed as number one in The New York Times Best Seller list. He won “Nationally Syndicated Air Personality of the Year” award eight times. He was also listed in Forbes Magazine’s list of 100 Most Powerful Celebrities in 1999. Since 2006, Stern has been hosting The Howard Stern Show on Sirius XM Radio. In his personal life, Stern graduated in 1976 from Boston University, and earned his bachelor’s degree in communications. He married his first wife Alison Berns on June 4, 1978 but, they separated in 2001. They have three daughters named, Emily Beth, Debra Jennifer and Ashley Jade. Later, he married television host and model Beth Ostrosky on October 3, 2008. Howard Stern is known for wearing the cologne Monsieur de Givenchy.
